My book is about a girl named Lucy whose pharmacy is about to close. Her best friend is Sunny who has a brother Yamir and they're Indian. Her mom and grandma fight almost every day, and Lucy's grandpa just died. So it's hard for the pharmacy to stay alive. They got rid of a lot of things, and are about to sell it to some guy. Her sister Claudia just had a birthday, the same day as her room mate,she's in college. Her room mates mom takes them to an eco spa and she said it was really great for the environment.
Lucy is the type of girl who doesn't care what people think of her, but she does have one of those groups of girls. Lucy has straight brown hair and wishes to be a famous makeup artist like Laura Mercier. Sunny is perfect all around which Lucy says. When the homecoming queen ,Courtney Adner, comes in with her hair the color of a watermelon, and Lucy gives her all these products and fixes her hair up. In the pharmacy, Lucy started a makeup thing where she does people's makeup for the prom, bat mitzvah, and masquerades.
But when Lucy's friend Sunny has to join earth club with her brother, Sunny asks Lucy and she says yes. On the first day of earth club they all got assigned to computers and when Lucy was searching she found a grant for going green. Then she called Claudia and told her that the grant would help the pharmacy. So she printed a copy of that paper, and sent it to Claudia. Lucy called Claudia. She told her that to make the pharmacy better they can build a relaxation room, and an eco spa like the one she went to. Will the grant get a yes or will the pharmacy have to be given away? I recommend this book for kids in middle school because it is great for them to understand, and it is great for kids who want to be a makeup artist or who works at a pharmacy. People who like books about makeup will like this.
